Seconds of Sutton
Yes indeed we returned to Sutton for a second weekend in a row. It has many of the things we like - a variety of trails and biking opportunities, clean facilities and well-spaced sites. Getting there was interesting to say the least. The pickup developed a problem with the alternator not charging the battery. By the time I got to Florence I was sure if I shut off the engine I wasn’t going to get it started again so I pulled into BiMart, left the engine running and bought a battery charger then headed for camp. Once I found a site and set up I hooked up the charger and hoped it would be enough to limp through the weekend. Friday I hiked Cummins Ridge Trail (6 mile round trip) to get the last cache in the area I hadn’t found yet. Pat and I went into Florence later. Saturday we explored more of the trail system that runs out to the beach and then over to another nearby campground - Alder Dune.
