Boardman

Spent three nights at Boardman City Park visiting with family:  Parents, Don & Vonnie, Bob & Cindy and Steve & Vicki.  We had a great time visiting - hadn’t done this with them since 2000!  Elliot warmed up to them and was soon chatting it up!  He made a couple of friends from a neighboring campsite - they played quite a bit with him.

Went to Hermiston one day to visit with our friends the Brubakers.  It was really nice getting to see them again - have missed them since they moved from Coos Bay.  GOD is blessing their ministry.

Day Two - On to Boardman

First part of this trip takes us to a family gathering in Boardman, OR where we’ll stay 3 days.

After leaving Portland we stopped at Multnomah Falls and hiked to the top of the falls.  I looked in vain for a geocache up there.  Pat and Elliot went back down while I continued looking for about another hour!  I had forgotten to bring an important picture clue since the satelite coverage is so poor up there!  We had some ice cream and lunch then continued on to Boardman.

Got set up in Boardman City Park.  Don came to the rescue ridding the electrical box of a yellow jacket’s nest before we got there - thanks, Don.  Site is a bit out in the open - going to be pretty warm I think.  Joined the group for hamburgers and hotdogs.

Day One - Portland

Left Coos Bay about 6am.  Stopped in Eugene to have Sutton RV fix a heater hose and door latch.  Went to the new Camping World in Junction City where we picked up a nice cooking set.

Set up trailer in Portland Fairview RV park.  Kim drove Naomi, Elliot and Nicole out to see us.  Went out for pizza then all the girls headed back into town leaving Elliot with us.  Let the vacation begin!
