Calendar Published
On November 1st the calendar for the Oregon State Parks Go Click contest went on sale. The crazy thing is that Mike and I raced over to Shore Acres State Park on Thanksgiving Evening to buy some calendars, but they had none left. They sold out! I emailed someone at the state office and they called the store and the managers there said they didn’t want any more calendars to sell! I was told that part of the proceeds go to the Friends of Shore Acres so crazy for them not to stock them for locals to purchase since the winning photo was local near Shore Acres! Oh well, I had to purchase several for family so I had to purchase mine directly from the Oregon Parks and Recreation. By doing so the Friends of Shore Acres did not receive any revenue. Not smart marketing strategy in my opinion. I’m told that the managers there are volunteers - so there you go.
