Our First T@B Rally!

We attended our first T@B rally at Cape Disappointment State Park near Ilwaco, WA.  Drove up Highway 101 enjoying the coastal scenery (and the occasional geocache) arriving by 5pm.  Set up the trailer then checked in with the rally hosts and met a few other tabbers.  The whole group had potluck soon after.  Sat around the campfire later getting to know our new friends.

It looks like about 20 T@B trailers are present.  Tomorrow morning we’ll all gather and make a tour of the trailers.  Should be interesting to see how people have modified them to suit.

Day Two at Beverly Beach SP

Pat was feeling a little better this morning so we drove up to Lincoln City so she could get her outlet store shopping done.  I dropped her off, did a little caching then returned in an hour to see how she was doing.  She said come back in two hours so I cached some more.  When I picked her up she was starting to feel bad again so back to camp we went.  It must have been pretty bad because she just couldn’t bring herself to go to dinner at our favorite seafood place in Newport!

Winter Camping?!

Last October, while camping at South Beach SP south of Newport we drove through Beverly Beach SP (just north of Newport) and determined to try it out “next year”.  Well, we saw the great weather forecast for this Presidents Day weekend and decided to head up there.  Unfortunately, as we were driving up this morning, Pat started feeling sick.  By the time we arrived at the park all she wanted to do was get in the trailer and lie down.  And there she stayed for the rest of the day!  She was really bummed because it was good weather for beach outings.  In addition, she wanted to go up to the Tanger Outlet Center in Lincoln City to do some shopping.  Not today!!

I did some geocaching in the vicinity then drove to Newport to get some takeout.  Pat took one bite of a french fry, one bite of a piece of pineapple then just shoved the rest away!  Poor girl - having to turn away a nice halibut dinner!  Maybe tomorrow!
