Redwoods & Trees of Mystery
Did the tourist stuff today - Redwoods and Trees of Mystery in California.
Walked on trails within the Jedediah Smith State Park. We felt pretty puny walking among these ancient giants.
Then drove on down to see Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox at Trees of Mystery.

On The Chetco River
Elliot joined Pat and I for a weekend at our favorite campground along the extreme southern Oregon coast - Alfred A. Loeb SP.
Upon arriving, however, we were a little disappointed that they were having problems with the bathrooms and showers. They dropped their prices to make up for the loss of these services but it took away from fully enjoying our campout!

Small group to Hanging Rock
This year a much smaller group made the traditional hike to Hanging Rock - probably due to the decision to leave camp at 7:30am!!
Greg Blackwell, Gloria Blackwell, Tim Ellison and I took on a different and longer path this year. Started at the Clay Hill trail head. This resulted in an 11 mile RT hike.
The view was great this time - clear as a bell. Last year was foggy!
We decided to plan this hike for a friday next time - maybe more people will participate.
