Ladies Retreat
Friday evening I made it to the Ladies Retreat with my church. There was an incredible speaker that I really enjoyed. This was only a one night retreat. It was over by 3pm on Saturday.
So to sum it up, I had a great time and enjoyed the fellowship with my friends from church and met some new ladies from other churches.
Mike arrived to pick me up and we went back to The Valley of the Rogue State Park. Mike had stayed the previous night there and so we stayed Saturday night and left Sunday morning.
After a 3.5 mile walk around the Rogue River Greenway trail, we packed up and headed out.

Let the Vacation Begin!
First big outing of the season! This is a mix of vacation and work (well, for Pat anyway - it’s ALL vacation for me!!). Today we head down to Valley of the Rogue State Park between Grants Pass and Medford for two nights. First night Pat will be down at Applegate Christian Fellowship near Jacksonville attending a Ladies Retreat. From there we go to South Lake Tahoe to see Bruce and Irene for a couple of days. Next Pat checks into a fancy hotel in San Francisco where she’ll attend a three day WEB related conference while I camp somewhere north and do some serious geocaching/hiking. We’ll visit with Pat’s dad a couple days in Concord then make our way back home via Highway 101 spending some time redwood country.
This is the first big trip with the new Sorento pulling the T@B - will be nice not to crawl over Sexton Pass at 35 mph!!
We’ll post something new along the way so stay tuned!

Easter in Portland
Naomi and Elliot down from Seattle - Pat and I up from the coast - all descending upon Nicole and Kim’s new place for Easter weekend. Elliot and I escaped the city on saturday to hike and geocache along the Historic Columbia River Highway near Latourell Falls and Vista House. Turned out to be a little rainy but we had a great time anyway. I felt bad that Elliot’s brand new tennis shoes got so muddy so we bought him some new ones - classic Chuck Taylor Converse no less. We pulled the T@B with the new Kia for the first time - so much nicer than the pickup! We stayed at our old standby RV park out near Troutdale.
The girls were supposed to go do this pedicure thing while Elliot and I were out but there was a mix up and they miss-scheduled for NEXT weekend!
Rainy weather didn’t permit any outdoor Easter egg hunting so we did a little indoor production.

Thirsty are we?
