First Night at Tugman
Mike and I set up thursday at Tugman State Park. Arrived to find Mike’s parents, Jim and Donna already settled in to their camp spot next to ours.
Had a nice surprise visit from Jenny and Kyla on their way home from work. Kyla was all excited about taking a peak inside the T@B. She wanted to know what was in all the cupboards and the refrigerator. She asked why the refrigerator was so small. I told her it was because our trailer was so small.
Later we enjoyed some good pizza with Jim and Donna at a little place in Lakeside.
We spent the night in the T@B, then woke up early so Mike could come in to town for work. He dropped me off at home so I could work a few hours as well.
Nice to be able to do that since the campground is so close. :)
Later we’ll go back to the campground and spend the weekend there with Mike’s parents.

Tugman Again!
We are heading out to camp at Tugman State Park again. It’s a nice campground - we really like it. Jim and Donna are joing us for the weekend on their way to Arizona. Should be fun.
It’s pretty easy just picking up and leaving town! We are lovin’ our T@B :)

Fire on the Chetco
After a great breakfast of blueberry pancakes we ventured out from the campground on a trail that led to a mile loop trail through some redwoods. There just happened to be a geocache along this trail - what a shocker! As we were leaving the trailhead and walking back towards camp Pat thought she smelled smoke! Figuring it was just someone down on the river bank we returned to camp and soon heard fire trucks headed that way. We headed into Brookings for some grocery shopping and to get Elliot a helmet for riding his bicycle and saw more fire equipment heading up river! Apparently this fire was in the immediate vicinity of that redwood trail! They contained the fire to one acre but it sure had the campers a little worried for awhile!
Pat and Elliot had great fun riding all around the campground together on their bikes.
Tomorrow we go all the way back to Coos Bay - it’s been a fun trip.
