Rare Terracache Found
Found my seventh terracache today - Terracrostic.
It is always satisfying finding a cache that hasn’t been found in a long time. The last finder of this TC was August of 2007! Even more noteworthy was the fact that I had the required acrostic puzzle solved in February of 2007 and was just now getting around to finding the physical cache!
I can see why it doesn’t attract much interest - it’s a tough, though fairly short, bushwhack up a creek bottom with no trail. In addition, accessing the creek bottom from the parking coords is a steep jumble of moss-covered rocks. That said, it’s exactly what makes for a very satisfying hunt and find.
I’m thinking it’s about time to put out my own terracache in the Coos Bay area - there are so few in Oregon (36).
