Portland to Home via Lincoln City
After two nights at Silver Falls SP and sending our grandson off with his dad, we stayed a night in Portland to visit with my daughter and her husband.
Our path home would take us over to the coast at Lincoln City in order to pick up things we left at a motel there recently and to have a whole bunch of coastline to enjoy and capture on film (well, in digital form really). It also meant some geocaching could be done too! Let’s not forget about that!
I stopped for several caches in the beautiful forested Van Duzer Scenic Corridor along Highway 18. No caching in Lincoln City as we stopped briefly to retrieve our items from the motel. Continuing down the coast we took photo ops breaks at Depoe Bay, Yaquina Head Lighthouse, Nye Beach district of Newport and finally a nice sunset view at the Heceta Head Lighthouse north of Florence.
