Picking Off Stragglers!
This was a day for cleaning up the coast line between Port Orford and Gold Beach. Nine caches stood in the way of having a “clean radar screen” from Coos Bay to Gold Beach. I found all but one - a cache a couple miles off 101 on Euchre Creek.
The coolest cache of the day was One for trailsailor. This was not a quick one along the highway - no! It was, as the name indicates, a tribute to a geocacher named trailsailor whose signature cache placement style is to take you off the beaten path…...WELL off the beaten path to unique vantage points few have seen. Therefore, the cache would require one to bushwhack through brush, forest, poison oak, over rocks to finally arrive at a great viewpoint seldom visited. This wasn’t a long a hike as a normal trailsailor cache but worthwhile regardless.

Yup! The cache is out there on that rock!
