OREGON Geo-Olympics 2009

Finally made it to the infamous Geo-Olympics hosted annually by the Eugene geocaching community. We had other plans for most of the weekend but we made a little time this morning for Elliot and I to paricipate in the decachalon competition. We didn’t win any medals but our little team had fun anyway. Also picked up a couple of regular caches near the campsite…WITH MY NEW GPS!!

That’s what happened when we went into Eugene shopping today…..decided to go ahead and get the GPSr I’ve been drooling over for the past year!  An early birthday present….that’s my story and I’m sticking to it! Came back to camp and had to pop over to the geo-activities and show a couple of geo-buddies the new toy. Much Tim_the_Tool_Man_Taylor grunting was heard!!
