Midnight Caching On The Road
Yesterday I had to drive Pat and grandson Elliot to Portland to catch their flight to NYC. I started driving home and soon got a text from Facebook giving me a status update for fellow geocacher, pastor and good friend Chuck Knight - he was in Springfield this evening on a pastoral hospital visit. I sent him a text saying I’d be coming through there in a few hours and would likely need a break - was he available to meet up for coffee and pie or something. We were indeed able to meet up. He and Dalette met me at IHOP but we moved over to Shari’s because the folks at IHOP didn’t seem to want our business. It was great to stop and visit with my good friends.
On the road again I decided to attempt to find three new caches along Highway 38. All were found shortly after midnight into the wee hours of this day. Safety breaks folks!...It was necessary to keep awake! Really!
