Blacklock Point (new cache placed)
Went hiking today with a group of friends and decided to hide a cache. We hiked from the trailhead at the old Denmark airstrip out to Blacklock Point then north to Floras Lake and back - a total of 10 miles!

I basically revived an old cache (Coastal or Postal #6 by Duck-n-Deedy).

Power(s) Caching!
Several new caches popped up along the Powers highway several days ago but I was sick and not wanting to leave the house - until today. Besides feeling better, my other motivation was hearing about Bad Duck and familyexplorer’s plans to make a saturday cache run down to Powers, up to Hanging Rock, then Agness and Gold Beach. I would have loved to go along for the fun but didn’t want to share the cold germs with the guys so I made solo plans - with a twist. Knowing the boys would be hunting these very same caches tomorrow I decided to add a couple “unofficial” prizes to their day.
At first, I began thinking of devious, tricky things to pull on them. Fortunately I repented of that approach remembering just how devious and tricky these two could be in retribution! Instead, I placed a couple of “goodies” along the way to keep them nourished through the day. As it turned out snow levels prevented them from getting to Hanging Rock and down to Agness but they had enough trail mix to last a couple of days!

Forest of Ill Repute
Once in awhile you see a couple of geocachers get into a fun little exchange of challenging cache hides seemingly meant more for the other person than the rest of us. One-upsmanship, let’s call it - in fun of course. This was witnessed this week in what has become known as the Forest of Ill Repute - namely the Winchester Trails on Coos County Forest lands. No caches had ever been placed on this trail sytem and now it seems destined to be the home of “gotcha” caches.
Taking the Rod to the child. (aka) SKIP IT!, Male Pattern Baldness and One for Bad Duck got this party started - well done and well thought out guys!! Look forward to more.
