An Afternoon of FTF’s

Ran up Daniels Creek immediately after work today to see if I could get FTF’s on three new caches by the ST’s of Norway.  Sweet! Success!  Took a couple of wrong roads but finally got them all and headed home for dinner.  They had some other new caches over at Blue Ridge and parts south but I needed to get home - another day.

Next morning at geo-coffee it just totally slipped my mind about logging these finds!  Ooops!  I paid for that later…....

Return to Florence’s South Jetty

Some new caches had popped up since my last caching day on the South Jetty dunes a month ago so today was the day to take those on.

In addition, I went into Florence proper and picked up a few more then finished the day with the rest of Peekaboo’s new caches on Shutter Road, more Peekaboo caches down Seven Devils way and finally a truly “inspired” cache in Coos Bay by Steve-n-Nancy.  Thanks to all these fine hiders for a fun day.

One Ringy Dingy…Two Ringy Dingy…

I receive new cache notifications on my iPhone and yesterday afternoon there was a flurry of new notifications making my iPhone sound like the farmer’s dinner bell going off.  One after another!  One of them was just up the street from me so I dropped everything and ran out the door to find Nature Trail cache.

So when I got up this saturday morning, I knew what my caching goal would be - get the rest of Peekaboo21’s new cache run.  Bad Duck and I made this run even though he had gone out last night and picked up FTF’s on many of them.  We hoped to get FTF on the one’s that eluded him last night - and indeed we did.  Well, except for this one - arrived just a few minutes too late and had to endure Rod of familyexplorer doing “the dance”!  Aauughh!

This group of a dozen or so new caches took us all over the county it seemed - Sumner, Fairview, Catching Slough, Blue Ridge and even some on Shutters Road (which we didn’t hunt today)!

Since Bad Duck had already found several of these, he had great fun sitting in the pickup just shaking his head and chuckling.  Occasionally, he needed to give me a nudge when I was having trouble finding a cache - uh, Boos’ Gone Nuts, in particular!  Nord! Nord!  Will you listen to me?  I said NORD!!  Sheesh!

A fun day all in all.
