Heading to Portland - Memorial Weekend
Heading up to Portland today with the trailer - mixing Pat’s work with vacation and family time for the holiday weekend. Before we left, however, I managed to get down to our local weekly geo-coffee meeting followed by a quick run out for a new cache with Bad Duck.
Set up the trailer at Pheasant Ridge RV Resort in Wilsonville then made preparations for two solid days of caching while Pat attends a conference in Portland! Yahoooo! Managed to get one of the few remaining I-5 rest area caches I hadn’t found yet on the way up.
One highlight will be meeting up with local cacher ‘tincuphunter’ to hike and cache Marquam Park and Council Crest area. He and I have communicated via email in the past regarding common caches of interest in the Florence area where he has some excellent cache hides. Managed to get one of the few remaining I-5 rest area caches I hadn’t found yet
