Hanging Rock - Siskiyou NF
Hanging Rock is a little-known overlook perched on the rim of the Rogue River canyon along Panther Ridge Trail in the Siskiyou National Forest. I have long wanted to hike out to this awesome viewpoint. I finally got my chance this weekend while camping at the Powers County Park with a group from church. Twenty plus people trekked in on the short trail. It wasn’t the greatest day for seeing the entire landscape due to low clouds but the rock outcrop was impressive non the less.

Several people were interested in geocaching so when I found the newly placed Hangin’ Out n’ Nat I brought it over to them and explained the fun. I think we have some new recruits!
Great hike.
