FTF on North Spit!
Got off early from work today and decided to walk out the North Spit sand road to attempt a FTF on a new cache!
Only problem?....some ominous clouds moving in from the west! Convinced I had time to make the trek before any rain hit, I hiked out 1.8 miles and found it pretty quickly. Indeed I was first to sign the log! Yes!
The cool thing about going for this cache was discovering the maze of horse and hiker trails in the vicinity! I had walked out the sand road several times before but because I needed to get off the sand road and up a sand bank I found this trail system! So I decided to walk the trails back to my pickup….not quite sure where I would end up! This change of plans cost me time and the weather got worse. I was a little damp from the heavy mist by the time I returned but pumped about finding the trail system. I think I will make up a couple of caches and place them out here soon!
See - even the selfish ambition of trying to be FTF results in a benefit! LOL
