Dellenback to Beach’n'Back
Too many weeks without a dune hike! Today I decided to hike the John Dellenback Dunes Trail to get yet another Mackie dune cache. Though I’ve walked many miles in these dunes this was one trail I had yet to walk all the way out to the ocean. Mackie’s John Dellenback cache was placed JUST to make me do that very thing! Well, maybe not but I liked it nonetheless. Good invigorating hike. Saw a great variety of mushrooms in the low areas behind the foredune. Surf was pounding pretty good today ..... and LOUD.
