Brookings - Day Two
Started the morning with a short hike from the campsite down to the beach to get a couple of caches…..WHOA! WHOA! Hang on there, bucko!.........My day actually started out with a Bad Duck fixing me one of his famous breakfast burritos! Quite tasty! Thanks Dude!......okay back to the caching….... (INVERTEDVEE and Urkle). I was able to get fairly close to a Peregrine Falcon perched atop a large rock - how cool!
Upon my return to the campground Bad Duck was ready for a day of caching in Brookings. We picked up Emeljay at Monkey Junky’s house and proceeded to pretty much wipe out the caches in town!
Later in the day we find out a brand new cache was placed by trailsailor….and it was supposed to be a really toughie! Darren and I headed to the coords right after dinner only to find the source of our information already on site looking for the cache! Harumph! The three of us examined ground zero for quite some time before giving up for the day…..we WILL be back!
Sat around the fire visiting with the Drops and Jordan families into the evening…..sure wish Pat had been there.
