Since the Blackwell’s were leaving today, we decided to take a morning walk somewhere. We went to Tou Velle State Park and hiked on trails there plus some on the adjacent Denman Wildlife Refuge. We found a few caches including one right near an osprey’s nest - pretty neat.
Greg and I didn’t get much caching in today. Met the wives for church services out in Ruch at Applegate Christian Fellowship then headed into Jacksonville then Medford to do some shopping. We managed one cache in each place. Dinner at Red Lobster then back to camp.
So what would Greg and I do with the rest of the day? The girls won’t be back from their retreat until tomorrow….....maybe some caching? Sure, that sounds like fun!
We looked at the cache map, made a plan then headed out ......... then proceeded to get sucked away from the plan by the lure of “just one more right over here…”!!
Mostly we cached in Medford proper then moved north towards Shady Cove and finally west towards the freeway and camp. We cut it off at about 9pm tonight - not so much because we were tired but because of the crazy lady that came out of her home near a phonebooth type cache asking what the heck we were doing. That was a clear sign to quit and get back to camp!
I think we managed 56 caches today! A personal best!
