GeoDASH in Wasco County, OR

Visiting my parents in Dufur, OR and decided to visit the nearby dashpoint and introduce my dad to a new GPS game.

The dashpoint was situated at the edge of a gorgeous green field of wheat within 30 feet of Eightmile road.  Very picturesque scenery with a rare clear view of Mt. Hood in the background.

Dashpoint #4 - Highway 101

Wow, it’s been since May of 2007 since I hunted down a geodashing point.  This was a great one to get as Pat and I made our way up the coastline heading to Ilwaco,WA.

Fortunately this dashpoint was very close to Highway 101 and I just need to find a good place to pull off.  Walked about 300 feet down Big Creek road and found myself standing at ground zero - low, riparian area associated with Big Creek just before it flowed under the Big Creek Bridge and then the ocean.

Love these easy ones!  Now, on to camping…........

May Dashpoint

It’s been quite awhile since I’ve scored any geodashing points.  Finally, this month I got one close and convenient to my activities.  This one was right across the freeway from Valley of the Rogue State Park where we were camped for a couple of days.  Easy to get to - I like those!  It was pretty easy to navigate to Ground Zero.  It was about 30 feet off the SW corner of a sad looking church building between North River Road and a set of train tracks in a grassy field.
