Wolf Creek, Umpqua River

Visited this DP while making a geocaching run along the Umqua River between Elkton and Sutherlin.

GD50-AGIK

Dashpoint is within the riparian zone of Wolf Creek, a tributary of the mighty
Umpqua River.  I accessed this DP via OR State Highway 138 to Douglas Co. Road
#33 (Tyee Road) then following this road to BLM road 25-7-5.1 where it crossed
the Umpqua River.  Following 25-7-5.1 about 2 miles west I found myself on the
opposite side of Wolf Creek from the DP but was within 140 feet.  Noticed a
roadside pullout with a sign stating “Watchable Wildlife Area” just a few
hundred yards to the west along this same road.

Warm day, lots of people out on the Umpqua River fishing and swimming.
Will upload a couple of pics tonight.

Adventures in the Oregon Dunes

The “Oregon Walkabout” multi-staged cache was the one that spurred me to make a goal to find all geocaches placed in the Oregon Dunes on foot - no using an ATV!  I walked over 8 miles on sand dunes today getting this one!  Yikes.
