Day Ten - Back in Portland
Back in Portland Fairview RV Park for a couple of days.
Finally Elliot gets to do some swimming. He and I played in the RV park’s pool for a good hour or so early evening. He loved it - really liked having the life vest and goggles on.

Day Nine - A Day in The Dalles
Elliot and I took a walk just outside the park this morning to find a geocache. I feel bad, he must have brushed against some poison oak along the way because when he got home to Seattle Naomi called to say he had poison oak blisters! Sorry buddy - thought I had pointed out all the poison oak plants along the path.
After breakfast we drove to The Dalles and went to the Fort Dalles Museum (supposedly the oldest history museum in Oregon). After that we met Mom & Dad just west of town at the Columbia Gorge Discovery Center. Quite a place - lots of information and displays. It was nice spending time with the folks as well. Headed back to camp.
This evening Elliot and I make a few voice recordings with the intent to “trick grandma” heh, heh

Day Eight - Movin’ to Memaloose
Another long travel day (332 miles)! Heading for the lower Columbia Gorge.
Stopped for lunch in the small town of Sprague at a public park. Went straight on through TriCities and onto I-84 west. Pulled into Memaloose State Park around 7pm and secured a site for two nights. Much cooler temps here. Called the folks and let them know we were close and arranged to meet up with them tomorrow in The Dalles. We plan on taking Elliot to the Fort Dalles Museum and the Columbia Gorge Discovery Center
