I went on an early morning caching trip into Newport and surrounding area.
We went up to the Outlet Mall in Lincoln City for a few hours. Ate dinner at our new favorite Newport eatery again tonight - another great meal!
Packed up the trailer and drove to Elmer’s Pancake House on Stark to meet up with Andy, Naomi and Nicole for breakfast. Afterwards we said our goodbye’s and headed for the coast for a couple of nights.
It was sad to see Elliot go - we had such a good time with him. We’re anxious to do it again in August when we go down to see Pat’s dad in California.
On the way to the coast we checked out Champoeg State Park - nice one. Also checked out several RV parks from Lincoln City to Newport.
Finally pulled into South Beach State Park for two nights. They had been full but a had a couple of last minute cancellations. Back to the FOG!
Went into Newport for dinner and discovered a really good restaurant called Local Ocean Seafoods. Great Halibut!
Elliot and I went on a little geocaching trip this morning in the Fairview area and in the process discovered a nice little park that we later brought Grandma back to see. We went swimming again this afternoon to cool off - again, Elliot really enjoyed it.
